Accessibility
Last reviewed: October 22, 2026
We want every family to be able to use this website, including parents and children with disabilities. Our goal is to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, Level AA.
What we have done
- Built every page to work with a keyboard alone, with a visible focus outline and a "Skip to main content" link.
- Used text colors with strong contrast, readable font sizes, and page layouts that work when zoomed to 200% and on small phone screens.
- Gave every image a text description, and every page one main heading and a clear structure for screen readers.
- Tested each page with automated accessibility checkers (axe-core and HTML_CodeSniffer), our own checks, and keyboard-only navigation.
Known limitations
- Our patient forms are PDFs to print. They cannot be filled in on screen. If you cannot use a printed form, email us and we will help you complete it another way.
- Two outside forms are less accessible. The Vanderbilt ADHD rating scales, from NICHQ, are PDFs without the structure screen readers use. Email us and we will provide them in another format.
- Outside websites that we link to are not under our control and may not meet the same standard.
